This policy covers the Boxing Timer mobile app, published by Boxing Timer.
Questions about it go to alichahil047@gmail.com.
The short version
Boxing Timer has no account system, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your workouts and your training history are stored on your own device and are not sent to us, because there is nowhere for them to be sent. We do not operate a server that holds your data.
Three optional features involve something leaving your phone, and each one is off until you turn it on or use it. They are described below.
What is stored on your device
All of the following is kept in the app’s own private storage on your phone, and nowhere else:
- workouts you create, and which ones you have marked as favourites
- your workout history, including the date, duration, rounds completed and the work-to-rest split of each session
- your settings, including sound, voice, haptic, theme and goal preferences
- reminders you schedule
- whether you have seen the introduction
Deleting the app removes all of it. You can also remove it from inside the app at any time: Settings → Your data → Delete all data. The same screen can export a copy as a file you control, which you may then store or move wherever you wish.
What leaves your device, and only if you choose
1. Workouts you share
If you use the share button, the app creates a link that contains the workout’s configuration: its name, its intervals and its exercise names. The link is created on your phone and handed to your operating system’s share sheet. You decide who receives it. It does not pass through us, it contains no personal information, and it is not stored anywhere by us.
2. Apple Health
Off by default. If you enable it in Settings, and grant permission when iOS asks, each finished workout is written to Apple Health with three things: the activity type, the start time and the end time. The workout’s name is attached as metadata.
Energy burned is never written, because the app has no way to measure it.
Nothing is ever read from Apple Health. The app requests write access only. Health data stays on your device under Apple’s own protection; we never see it. You can revoke access at any time in the iOS Health app, and Boxing Timer keeps working exactly as before.
3. Subscriptions
If you buy a subscription, the purchase is handled by Apple or Google and by RevenueCat, which is the service that tells the app whether your subscription is active.
- We never see your payment details. Apple and Google handle payment and do not share card information with us.
- RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier for your installation, your purchase receipt, and device and store information needed to validate it. We use this only to know whether your subscription is active.
- RevenueCat’s own privacy policy is at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
If you never purchase anything, this does not apply to you.
4. The workout generator
The workout generator runs entirely on your device. The sentence you type is read and turned into a workout on the phone, and nothing is sent anywhere. If a future version adds an online assistant, this policy will say so before it does, and the feature will stay off until you turn it on.
What we do not do
- We do not collect analytics, usage statistics or crash reports.
- We include no advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- We do not track you across apps or websites.
- We do not sell or share personal information. We hold none to sell.
- We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or date of birth.
- We do not request your location, camera, microphone, contacts or photos.
Notifications
Reminders you create are scheduled locally by your phone’s operating system. They are not push notifications, no token is registered, and no server is involved. They work with no network connection at all.
Children
The app is a timer and is not directed at children under 13. We knowingly collect no personal information from anyone, of any age.
Your rights
Because your data is on your own device and not in our possession, you exercise your rights directly and immediately:
| Right | How |
|---|---|
| Access and portability | Settings → Your data → Export a backup |
| Erasure | Settings → Your data → Delete all data, or delete the app |
| Rectification | Edit or delete any workout or session in the app |
| Withdraw consent | Turn off Apple Health or reminders in Settings |
If you have bought a subscription and want the data RevenueCat holds about that purchase removed, write to alichahil047@gmail.com and we will pass the request on.
Security
Data stored by the app sits in your phone’s app-private storage, protected by the operating system and by your device passcode or biometric lock. Any network request the app makes uses HTTPS. Because we operate no account system and hold no credentials, there is no password of yours for anyone to steal from us.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the new version will be published at the same address before the change takes effect in the app.
